Halloween 2009

Since we will be having the baby about a week before Halloween, I had to go ahead and get prepared before hand. So this morning while Ally Harper has been napping, I have been sewing. Ally got a Mrs. Potato Head for her birthday and plays with it pretty often, and since Toy Story is coming back to the theaters this week, I thought why not let the babies be Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head for Halloween this year. I am actually VERY pleased with the way they turned out. I will put a white long sleeve, gloves, and tights on AH and then Christopher (who won't be going trick or treating, but had to have his first costume) will just wear a white sleeper under his little potato sack! I will add a photo of Ally Harper wearing her costume when she wakes up. I Hope she likes it. As for Brooklyn, she is going to be the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland and she is making most of her costume. Photos of that will have to come later.

The next baby in line was born today! Welcome baby Walt!

Walter Douglas Roberts was born today, September 28th to Noah & Julie Roberts. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and is 20 inches long. You may recognize the names of the parents from my following of their blog about sweet Magdalena. I'm sure she is in heaven today rejoicing about her new little brother too. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

I have so many friends that are expecting right now that it is CRAZY!!! So for 4 have delivered, and I think there are 11 more to go before February!

Baby Stella Ann Ferguson, born September 4th is the daughter of Wallace and Deana Martin Ferguson. Deana and I went to high school together and then ended up in nursing school together.

Baby Jayme Madison Jannise, 6 lbs. 8 ounces, born September 14th after 20 hours of labor :( She is the daughter of James and Cassie Laird Jannise. Cassie and I grew up a couple of miles from each other and were cheerleaders together in school and spent MANY a nights crusin' the Blvd. in Brookhaven. It's so hard to believe we are all mom's now.

34 week checkup this morning....

Went to the doctor again this morning and everything checked out good. Heartbeat was good and strong at 134 beats, my BP was good and I hadn't gained any weight :) that made me happy! Even though I have done really well with that throughout the pregnancy. I go back in 2 weeks, and then I will start going every week. But after the next visit, I think I will only go back one more time before scheduled delivery date, so things are coming down to the wire. I will have another sono in 2 weeks, so we will get an accurate weight and know more about him. Can't wait til that comes. I really wonder how much more hair he has grown. I think he is going to come into this world with more hair than AH had at a year old. Which wouldn't be a surprise. Chris' mom had to cut his sister's hair in the hospital she came here with so much.

I am also getting excited about the baby shower we are having in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. I get to go home and see fmaily and friends and enjoy good food and fellowship. It's also a sports related theme, so I can't wait to see how everything turns out. I'll make sure to take lots of pics. I also will try to get Chris or Brooklyn to take a picture of the baby belly. This is something that I never think to do. During each pregnancy, I claim in the beginning that I am going to document my growth, but NEVER do it, so I neeed to get a picture since this "may" be our last baby. :) Well til next time, Love you all.

Almost ready for Christopher

I have been hard at work each day preparing more and more for baby Christopher's arrival. I have finally got their room in order, things hung on the wall, beds where I want them, mirror hung, etc... I have also got out all the BIG stuff like the swing, playpen, bassinet, stroller, carseat, etc... and everything is washed and baby fresh. I decided it may be a good idea to get these things done a little early just so Ally Harper can adjust to all the "new" stuff in her room and her house! So far so good. She has started to realize that these new things are for the baby, even though I know she doesn't really understand what this "baby" means! Anyway, the day I got out some of her old things, she automatically claimed the Boppy vibrating seat (see the last pic). Which I guess if she is going to claim something that would be the thing since it's the only pink item and Chris said Christopher couldn't sleep in a pink bed :{ Me, I say who cares. Throw a blanket over it and be done, but whatever. Maybe he talked AH into claiming it on purpose- LOL. So here are a few more pic's of their room with wall hangings and such. Things are finally starting to come together which is a good thing considering we only have 29 MORE DAYS!!!

Nursery Items for Sale

You can see the bumper pad here. It's extra thick, with zipper for easy removal. The fabric you see is the main fabric used in the set. It's got a pink and white diamond design on the background with "framed lambs" hanging along a pink ribbon. That's the best description I can give. The bumper has the lambs on one side and then cotten candy pink minky dots on the other, with striped piping and a pink satin ruffle and ties.

The glider is white with cushions made from celery green minky dots along with stripes, ottoman is green minky.

The 2 pieces of wall art are of pastel flowers that look great with the rug. You can't see on the pic but the mats of the art have a sheer pink ribbon weaved in it. Very pretty, that's why I added the pink ribbon and bows to hang them on the wall. The table cloth is made for a small round table out of pink and white gingham with a matching topper made in the stripes. You can also see the crib pillow in the glider. It's pink minky and stripes with satin ruffles.

The balloon curtain is in the lambs with satin ruffles and accent ties. Fits a standard window.

5x7 area rug is the only item with a few stains. I'm sure that a good cleaning will cure. If not, it came from Target. Easily replacable.

Elegant table lamp in mint color with a BEAUTIFUL victorian shade.

As for the other items- here are descriptions:
Crib comforter- oversized, will work for toddler bed also- reversible from lambs to cotten candy pink minky dots with satin ruffles (actually never used, just draped over the back of the glider)

Diaper stacker- made in Lambs, with stripe piping and satin ruffle

Toy bag- lambs with satin ruffles and ties

2 pink rose topiaries in white pots with pink sheer bows
Bassinet bedding- pinky minky blanket and bumper pad and sheet

I think that's all. I promise you won't be disappoined. Everything you need to turn any room into a beautiful home for your little princess.
Items retail well over $1000
Asking $500 obo for everything.....

Happy Birthday Ethan!

Last Saturday, we travelled to Brookhaven to celebrate Ethan's 7th birthday. The kids really had a good time playing putt putt golf and video games along with riding go-carts. Sorry I didn't get a picture of Granny driving the "Mary Kay" car :(

What happens when you leave her unattended!

Notice the socks and shoes!!!

New hair style!

I attempted to put Ally Harper's in a ponytail the other day. I managed it, but not much hair let left to be seen. Chris wasn't to fond of it, but it was cute. I also made little piggy tails a couple of days ago, but didn't get pics. I'll try to do better.

2 week Update....

Baby Christopher is now weighing about 4lb.12oz. and is still doing great. Got to see him a little this morning during the sono and Ally Harper did too. She wasn't too sure what they were doing to her mommy but she didn't like it. She even took my hand once and kissed it :) And then when the doctor came in, she immediately said "bye bye"! That's the same thing she does to her doctor. We also got the c section scheduled so unless Christopher decides to come on his own, he will be joining us October 22th. Doctor said he may move that date to the 20th depending on how much more he grows between now and 37 weeks. But either way, we are really on the down hill side of things now :) I also opted to have a flu shot today and now my arm is really sore. But hopefully it will keep me from catching the flu. Here are a few pics from this morning, We love the one of his mouth open. He kept yawning and also we think he had his thumb in his mouth onc time. Can't wait to get me hands on him:)
