Playing pretend.

Our little girl is learning to pretend and play baby dolls. How sweet is that? But please don't get me wrong, she still isn't gentle with the babies. We really need to work on that before baby Christopher gets here. Also last week, I was cleaning out all of Ally's old clothes, making room for new stuff and I came across a little hat that she wore while in the hospital. Well Ally wanted to wear it but it was in no way going to stretch enough to fit on her head now, so I found the one she is wearing in the pic. How funny? Not sure if she looks more like Little Miss Muffet or Laura Ingles from Little House on the Prarie????

Playing in the water again!

Since letting Ally Harper play at Renaissance last week, she now thinks that it we shopping there that she must get to play in the water. Well this time I had a swimsuit in her bag just in case. She had so much fun. Brooklyn was with us too, but I wasn't prepared for her to get soaked. She played some but didn't totally wet. At one point, Ally wandered out of the wet area and got on the hot concrete! Let just say she has some quick little feet, the only problem was that they were moving in place instead of forward. I had to run and rescue her. That concrete was HOT!!!

Preparing for a birthday!

Welcome to Sesame Street!!! In a little more than a month, we will be celebrating Ally Harper's 2nd birthday. And as you may know, we are obsessed with parties around our house. So we have been planning this one for quite a while. I have been working on things gradually and have just recently finished one of my projects. I was able to find colored bowls and buckets that I painted faces on that we will be using to serve snacks from. For example, Cookies served in Cookie Monster, Chex Mix Trash served from Oscar, Goldfish crackers served from Elmo and so on. As of this morning, I only have two more to complete. I thought I would show off my handy work. I love Abby Cadabby, she may be my favorite, but Big Bird was the most difficult. The Whole Cast

Elmo

Cookie Monster

Big Bird

The Count

Abby Cadabby

Grover

Oscar

Tea anyone?

Today, while I was doing some things around the house, I noticed Ally in the den playing with her pretend food. She was having a tea party. We watched an episode of Barney the other day and they were having a tea party. So I guess she was paying attention. After a while, it was time to run to town and she wouldn't leave! She kept pointing to the floor for me to sit for some tea. I couldn't help but grab the camera :)

Cousin Chloe's birthday

We went to cousin Chloe's birthday Saturday at Kid's Town in Clinton. They really have a great playground. Ally Harper had a great time swinging and sliding with her daddy.
Happy 3rd birthday Chloe!

It's official!! It's really a BOY!

We went for the official sonogram today and Pam was definitely able to determine the sex and he is all boy! So now I can truly gets things rolling. Things to buy and walls to paint. Everything looked good by the sono and he actually measured larger than average. He is in the 90th percentile. Can you believe after 2 other babies that were both preemies and both weighing in under 6 pounds that I am carrying a BIG BABY BOY! Things can change, but you will not be hearing any complaints from my end about having a bigger baby. Little babies = lots of worrying!!
Hope you enjoy the pics.

I guess he was getting bored or it was nap time because he kept yawning.

(above: He's giving us a Thumbs Up, can you see it?)

Summer Fun

While out shopping at Renaissance I decided to let Ally have a little fun in the water before we headed home. She had a BLAST!!!

Well.... It was fun while it lasted!

What a great time we had in Oxford over the past 2 weekends. That town sure does know how to host a Regional and Super Regional. If only the Rebels could figure out how to win the thing :(
